The extremely negative reviews of the lobster shanty are not warranted. My family comes here every year and in our experience the food ranges from okay to pretty good. The lobster roll is not the best on the cape and probably not even the best in Eastham but it's still pretty good. The service is indeed somewhat slow compared to other restaurants even when the place is almost empty and, yes, the plates/cups are paper/plastic. The all-you-can-eat fish and chips are also pretty good and for the price they're a good deal. The servers are not rude but they are also not particularly warm and friendly. It's a decent quiet place to get seafood (burgers are certainly not recommend here) for a decent price with mediocre service.
We ordered shrimp scampi it was frozen shrimp...Not local and unflavored noodles. Pitiful
Great food, reasonable prices, and great service. We had a very large party with several different checks and everything was handled very smoothly. We had the all-you-can-eat fish and chips, which were great (the fries were not amazing but the fish was excellent). The kids meals are served in plastic buckets you get to keep, which our kids thought was fun.
We had a great lunch at the Lobster Shanty! Clam Chowder and crab cakes. Great location (easy access, plenty of parking); super food!!! Great options in the menu. Very good service. We'd recommend highly!!
We had a wonderful experience today at the Lobster Shanty. We were seated quickly and a drink order was filled. The food was excellent and the temperature was perfect. Our waiter checked on us frequently and brought our check shortly after we completed our meal.We were very happy with everything at this local restaurant.
